Dova is a lovely Italian/Sicilian restaurant, located in Cabbagetown. It is a cozy place, with a pleasant atmosphere. We spent an excellent weekday evening at Dova and really enjoyed it. The service was great.
We shared several appetizers which I can say were exceptional. We were super impressed with the food presentation for every single item from the menu we had. Very flavourful and primarily seafood-based.
The raw swordfish carpaccio with cucumber and mustard seed is a must. If you are looking for a perfect food picture, I would pick Italian burrata with wine preserved pears and toasted almonds...You can't go wrong with Aviatori salad, which is Romaine with Sicilian almonds and smoked sardine, and Ragusano cheese. For the main meal, we had shrimp risotto, a pretty decent portion. For dessert, we had Tiramisu with orange touch and Cannoli. And a perfect pairing came with a bottle of Ca' Bembo Pino Grigio. We will definitely go back.
