Madrina Bar y Tapas is an amazing restaurant in Distillery District. We had an absolutely perfect night out. The place has a central location and its heated patio is beautifully decorated with flowers and lights. The music is very nice, and you actually feel you are somewhere in Spain, close to the sea. Very chill and relaxing spot. The service was excellent, both hostess and the server. The place gets very busy, I believe they offer reservations and some walk-ins with some wait time.
Tapas style food is no doubt very delicious. Very different and perfectly arranged. 4 of us shared a few appetizers and several main meals. I would mention chorizo and ham board, Catalonian crispy bread, baby calamari. For the bigger tapas, we picked patatas brava, steak tartare on a roasted marrow bone, and grilled octopus. Everything was super tasty. Adding to the experience glass of Chardonnay and a couple of desserts was the completion of the great night. I can't wait to go back, and definitely recommend Madrina.
